Some people have been asking what we are doing in the evenings at the gathering, so I am putting together a little mini-series on the fun and exciting things we have coming down the line. The Boulder based band Intuit will be helping us celebrate the people, plants, and land with their wonderful music on Saturday night June 18th. We will have their performance, and an open bar outside in the tent from 8-10pm, so bring your dancing shoes!
Intuit is a successful little band with a big purpose based in Boulder, Colorado. If you've ever been to an Intuit show...you know. These songs are sound waves organized with intention and love. This is music to bring us out of our heads and into our hearts. This is music to dissolve separation and bring communities together.
Braiding sounds from many cultures, Intuit weaves an auditory tapestry of reggae, blues, African poly-rhythm, folk, funk and jazz. The rootsy groove is fueled by the impeccable rhythm section of drummer Jonny Jyemo, percussionist Scott Parker-Mast, and bassist Matt North. Lyrical prowess and songwriting from guitarist Neil Sullivan and cellist Chloe Watkins display the heart-centered, earth-minded intention to the band’s music.
Also, they are raising funds for a new album in the worls! Check out their indie-gogo campaign.
The price of the concert is included in your admission price. If you want to bring someone who is not attending the conference the cost is $10, at the registration desk before heading to the concert. Kids under 12 are free.
Thanks and I will see you there!
